Nick Tandy je postavio najbolje vreme tokom skraćene druge sesije na Le Manu.
Dvočasovna sesija je prekinuta nakon jednog sata i 14 minuta kada je Jan Magnussen imao incident u Porsche krivinama.
Tandy, za volanom Porsche 919 Hybrid #19 postavio je vreme 3m18.862 a Porsche je testirao ponašanje guma u trkačkom stintu. Većina vremena je bila sporija u odnosu na jučerašnje kvalifikacije, a Tandy je popravio vreme #19 za više od 0.5s.
Andre Lotterer je postavio drugo najbrže vreme – 3m20.561 Audi R18 e-tron quattro #7. Uz Porsche #19 ovo je još jedna posada koja je poboljšala svoje vreme u odnosu na jučerašnji dan.
Tristan Gommendy je bio najbrži u LMP2 klasi u Thiriet by TDS ORECA 05 ali je pozvan kod sudija zbog izlaženja van okvira staze u krivini Tertre Rouge.
Nissan GT-R LM NISMO #21 za čijim volanom se našao Tsugio Matsuda postavio je bolje vreme u odnosu na jučerašnji rezultat i popeo se na 18. mesto u ukupnom plasmanu.
Aston Martin je još jednom bio najbolji u LMGTE Pro klasi, ali ovog puta najbolji je bio Aston Martin #97 koji je vozio Darren Turner sa vremenom 3m57.447s.
Andrea Bertolini je razdvojio Aston Martine u LMGTE Am klasi nakon kruga 3m58.837s u SMP Racing Ferrari 458 Italia.
Sesija je skraćena zbog Magnussenovog incidenta i organizatori su se odlučili da se tu prekinu kvalifikacije, i da kao posledica prekida treća sesija počne pola sata ranije a da traje pola sata duže.
